What we need for Ladies Finger fry:

  • Ladies finger – ¼ kg
  • Onion – 1
  • Green chilies – 2
  • Red chilli powder – 1 spoon
  • Turmeric powder – ½ spoon
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Coconut powder – 2 spoons
  • For tempering: mustard seeds, chana dal , urad dal, Garlic and curry leaves.


Let’s prepare here:

  • First we have to take the pan and oil. When the oil is heated add tempering ingredients.
  • Next add curry leaves.
  • Later we have to add chopped onions .
  • When the onions are turned into light brown add chopped ladies finger. 
  •  Next we have to add turmeric. 
  • Fry ladies finger till the stickiness goes away. …
  • Cover and cook till turns soft.
  • After few minutes we have to add red chili powder,salt and coconut powder.
  • Finally  fry is ready and serve with rice or phulka.
